Praise for this book
If you enjoy the kind of series that continues to get more intense with each book & will keep you questioning who is left standing at the end, this is for you. The author's writing is flawless as always, the magic, the characters, the conflict....utter perfection 🖤🖤🖤
The way Sharon weaves this story together is absolutely perfect. It is told so unbelievably well that we feel everything that Abigail, Aaron, and Thanatos feel. I cannot tell you how many times I started to cry or my heart was breaking as theirs did. And the writing! I love the way Sharon writes and how the world comes alive with her beautiful words.
Let me state first, this series is NOT my genre. I prefer spicy, not modern times... this series has no spice and is set to modern times...and I LOVE it. The heart-wrenching continuation of book one, the angst, the almost love triangle... the waiting.
This isn’t just a book you read, it’s a world you can disappear into. Shadows Within was one of my most anticipated reads of this year. And it did not disappoint. It’s hard to put into words how much I love this story. This book is a little heavier than the first book and you can feel the emotions pouring off the pages. And the lore that Sharon weaves into this story is incredible. I have fallen hard for this world and characters. I am already planning when I will re-read this because I was not ready to leave this world.
Shadows Within picks up a little while after the events at the end of Shadow Voyager and I instantly felt that heartbreak for Abigail again. I wanted to just reach into the pages and hug her. There are plenty of twists and turns. But the angst between Abigail and Thanatos and then Abigail and Aaron is perfection. I love how the characters change and grow throughout. But the end left me with... So. Many. Questions. I can't wait for book 3.
Once again I absolutely devoured the book in no time at all. Sleep was for the weak and I needed answers.
